returns four years later when the war is over| he is crippled. He conceals his condition and makes plans to leave for America.

3.5 剧情俗，情倒真，演员很灵。女主最初误入老宅，我以为要上演幽灵与未亡人，结果是两代人的melodrama。Norma Shearer和Fredric March间挺有火花。 Leslie Howard温润的气场本就很减龄，演Shearer长辈未免太俊俏，不过这角色的忧愁和夹带的孩子气太适合他演了
