When Issie sees Mystic again, she worries that the wild herd is in danger. Whilst checking on the horses, Issie and the gang discover that the Kauri Point Forest is under threat once more but this time from tourists, not Hexronn. Hordes of visitors drawn by news of the horses' return are destroying the forest and Maori medicine garden, leaving rubbish and fires everywhere. At the town BBQ, the kids realise they need to stop famous travel journalist Renae Jordan featuring KP on her TV show but Mayor Kenny thwarts their plans to talk to her at every turn. Will they be able to alert the town and save the forest before it's too late? And will Kenny come to regret the rash promise he eventually makes to the community? Caleb's idol, the eccentric, meditation-loving, tech billionaire, Alex Zarkoff, has moved to town. Alex's newfound peace is quickly shattered when his troublesome younger brother, Gabe, turns up, expelled from yet another boarding school.
