The world of Remnant is filled with horrific monsters bent on the destruction of humanity. Fortunately, the kingdoms of the world have risen to combat these forces by training powerful Huntsmen and Huntresses at academies around the planet. Ruby Rose, Weiss Schnee, Blake Belladonna, and Yang Xiao Long are four such Huntresses in training whose journeys will take them far past the grounds of Beacon Academy. Though each may be powerful on their own, these four girls must come together to work as a team if they truly hope to become the next generation of Remnant's protectors. 大量人物的聚首反而使得群像掌控力不足的问题暴露更深。部分人物直接被剧情的强行推动牺牲掉，迅速登场又草草收场，有些老角色也临近崩坏。同时剧情发展套路化严重，格局继第四季之后再一次降低。这还是完全排除了动作戏评价后得出的结论。哪怕不看动作戏和人物塑造，光光剧情，这一季也真的问题重重。
